Ancient Mesopotamia Middle East was the setting for many ancient civilizations,
including Sumeria, Babylon, and Israel. The first civilization is thought to have risen in Mesopotamia, between the Tigeris
and Euphrates Rivers. In Sumeria, people build huts, raised cattle, and farmed for their food. The build ziggurats
-huge temples- and monuments for their cities. They also developed the first from of writing called cuneiform.
They were the first people to use the wheel, making carts for farming and trade. They built reservoirs to store water and
canals to transport water which was the first use of irrigation. They also invented the library where they wrote books
